Working as a professional fight director for several years, Carter has developed a choreographic voice that stands distinct within the art form.

They began studying with instructors and directors through the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD) and soon gained certification in the eight disciplines that they offer. Along with that came the title of Advanced Actor Combatant (AAC).

They have served as Fight Director for numerous projects within professional, and pre-professional, companies across the U.S. Such organizations and projects like Oconaluftee Little Symphony Society, Portsmouth Area Arts Council, Shawnee State University, Middle Tennessee State University, and many more.
